We Write & Design Crowdfunding Plans
For Donation, Reward, Debt, & Equity-based Crowdfunding Campaigns.

DONATION-BASED CROWDFUNDING - Donation-based Crowdfunding is a method of raising capital for a company by asking a large number of people to donate a small amount of money to it. Because the form of payment is a donation, or gift, there may or may not be a benefit received by donors as a result of making it.

REWARD-BASED CROWDFUNDING - Reward-based Crowdfunding is similar to donation-based crowdfunding in that it is a method of raising capital by asking a large number of people. However reward-based crowdfunding enables a company to raise capital by promising one or more reward in exchange for payment. In simple terms, reward-based crowdfunding can be similar to creating a presale campaign, so the company can raise the necessary money to produce goods or services being offered to crowd-fund backers.

DEBT-BASED CROWDFUNDING - Debt-based Crowdfunding is a newer form of debt offering. Offering debt, such as bonds or convertible notes, in exchange for capital has been offered for many years but, like other forms of crowdfunding, Debt-based Crowdfunding uses debt to raise a small amount of money from a large number of people. With this method, founders don't need to give any rewards or equity in exchange for capital, rather, they just have a debt that needs to be repaid according to its terms.

EQUITY-BASED CROWDFUNDING - Equity-based Crowdfunding is a method of offering company equity in exchange for a small amount of money from a large number of people. If the company needs to raise capital, but it will not be enough to create a product or service that will be ready or deliverable within a reasonable time, Equity-based Crowdfunding is a fundraising strategy worth considering. It can also be used as an alternative fundraising strategy to other private securities offerings.

Crowdfunding Plan vs Business Plan

Crowdfunding plans are essentially flexible business plans that outline multiple courses of action to prepare a company for different fundraising outcomes.

According to The Crowdfunding Centre, between 69% - 89% of crowdfunding campaigns to do not reach their funding goal. While having a business plan can help reduce the risk of fundraising failure, in order for the company to succeed, it is best to plan for a course of action to move forward in the event this happens.

On the other end of the spectrum, what happens if the business raises more far more money than its initial goal? What if the product is a huge hit and the team needs to make 10 times more product than originally anticipated, but within the same time period? It is best to map out a course of action that enables the company to meet that demand in the event this happens.

Like business plans, crowdfunding plans are living documents that require periodic monitoring and adjustment as new data is collected. The initial campaign and stretch goals often need to have a prep period before the campaign, and a post crowdfunding plan of action to capitalize on the momentum that was built during the campaign.

Having a start-up is a fast-changing environment in itself, but when adding crowdfunding to the mix, Founders really need to be on their game. If choosing to crowdfund, then a crowdfund plan is probably the most valuable tool to guide you through the unpredictable environment your business is about to enter into.

Why have a crowdfunding plan?

Be Prepared
Make Informed Decisions
Reduce Risk of Failure
Save Time & Money

As Benjamin Franklin famously said, "By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail." Being a Founder of an ambitious new start-up comes with many risks. Some of these risks can simply be avoided with a comprehensive plan that maps out how you get from where you are now to where you want to be.

There are nearly endless courses of action that you can take to get there, but which one is best? Which one will get you to your goal with the least amount of money spent in the least amount of time? The last thing you want is to make an uninformed decision that puts you on a money and time-wasting path for months or even years.

If you want to work smarter and not harder, you need to have sufficient business intelligence to help you take the most correct actions at the most correct time. To do this, you need to have a plan.

We worked with Order of Merchants to form a business financial management plan. Zack provided a wealth of helpful information in regards to different financial models as well as a detailed assessment on our business goals and progress. The knowledge he shared with us has helped us maneuver through key areas of our planning and have been instrumental in the improved effectiveness of our organization.

Zack has met and surpassed our expectations of working with a business/financial consultant. Transitioning into a new practice has been much easier thanks to his expertise and guidance.

We highly recommend this service to any new or established business looking to optimize their financial and operating structures.

Working with Zack has not only helped create the groundwork to execute these goals in a strategic fashion, but has also pushed my team to really visualize and embody the reality of this project in a tangible form. This has become more than just a business plan; it is now a fully comprehensive step-by-step map to ensure success and create a solid foundation and structure to achieve these very ambitious goals.

I highly recommend anyone to consult with Zack and Order of Merchants for any aspect of their business, as one will get something dynamic out of a session with him regardless, not only related to business and finance, but even relating to the creative and artistic aspects of the project.

Order of Merchants has been amazing to work with. Zack is incredibly thorough and talented. The range of knowledge and abilities that Zack has employed in our service is astounding. We could not be happier with the value of their services provided to this point and it has been above and beyond what we originally thought we would receive.

We are very happy with the final products Zack and Order of Merchants have provided to us and we are continuing our relationship to advance what we have already completed. I highly recommend Order of Merchants.
